Alpha vintage chronograph wristwatch
I have only seen Alpha watches a few times at shows and now as striking as this one.
The original white dial has Breguet style Arabic numerals at the even hour markers and small arrowhead markers at the odd hours. The dial is also marked with the word Alpha and a lower case "a" above. Steel dauphine hands rotate about the dial and intersect with the wonderful blue telemetric scale located on the outer chapter of the dial.
The solid stainless steel case features a heavy steel screw back and round waterproof style pushers. The case has been cleaned and has less than typical wear both on the case top and back.
The watch is fitted with the 17 jewel Venus 210 calibre movement. My watchmaker has serviced the watch and in addition to keeping excellent time, all chronograph functions perform as they should.
The best I can figure out, Alpha was an older Swiss watch manufacturer and produced watches using Ebauche movements supplied by major movement manufacturers. Venus movements are best known for their use in the vintage Breitling Chronograph watches.
The watch measures 33 mm wide by 39 mm long and is supplied on a black leather strap.
